Stop No. 3 for Texas Division slated for May 23

The National Guard FLW College Fishing circuit will stage its third Texas Division event of the season May 23 on Lake Amistad in Del Rio, Texas.

The takeoff and weigh-in, scheduled for 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Central time, respectively, will take place May 23 at Lake Amistad Marina (East Diablo Launch Ramp), located at Highway 90 W. HCR 3 in Del Rio. The takeoff and weigh-in are free to attend and open to the public.

National Guard FLW College Fishing is the country’s largest tournament fishing competition for college bass clubs where college clubs compete for lucrative scholarships and prizes and a chance to compete in the $2.5 million Forrest Wood Cup in 2010.

Registered teams include Angelo State, Baylor University, Lamar University, Louisiana Tech University, Louisiana State University, Northeastern State, Oklahoma State University, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State-Texas, Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Galveston, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, University of Louisiana, University of North Texas, University of Oklahoma, and University of Texas.

Final 2009 Western Division event slated for May 30

The National Guard FLW College Fishing circuit will stage its final Western Division event of the season May 30 on the California Delta in Bethel Island, Calif.

The takeoff and weigh-in, scheduled for 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. PDT, respectively, will take place May 30 at Russo’s Marina located at 3995 Willow Road in Bethel Island. The takeoff and weigh-in are free to attend and open to the public.

National Guard FLW College Fishing is the country’s largest tournament fishing competition for college bass clubs where college clubs compete for lucrative scholarships and prizes and a chance to compete in the $2.5 million Forrest Wood Cup in 2010.

Registered teams include Arizona State University, California Poly, Chico State, Fresno State, Humboldt State University, Oregon State University, Sacramento State, San Jose State University, Sonoma State University, UC-Davis, University of Nevada-Reno, University of Oregon and Washington State.
