ATTAWAY WINS WALMART BASS FISHING LEAGUE EVENT ON CLARKS HILL LAKE
MCCORMICK, S.C. (June 15, 2009) – Norm Attaway of Clearwater, S.C., won the Walmart Bass Fishing League® South Carolina Division tournament on Clarks Hill Lake Saturday with a five-bass catch weighing 11 pounds, 6 ounces. The victory earned Attaway $3,592 and placed him one step closer to qualifying for the Lake Norman Regional Championship in Lake Norman, N.C., Oct. 22-24, where he could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.
Attaway said he caught the majority of his bass fishing points with a trick worm.
Rounding out the top five boaters are Danny Kirk of Bartow, Ga. (five bass, 11-2, $1,796); Brian Huskins of Mount Holly, N.C. (four bass, 10-12, $1,201); Ronnie McCoy of Lamar, S.C. (five bass, 10-7, $838) and Bo Reed of Lincolnton, Ga. (four bass, 10-4, $718).
Joseph Toth of Richmond Hill, Ga., took home the Boater Division Big Bass award, earning $460 for a 4-pound, 15-ounce bass he caught.
Michael Royals of Chapin, S.C., earned $1,796 as the co-angler winner Saturday thanks to five bass weighing 9 pounds, 5 ounces.
Rounding out the top five co-anglers are Bobby Henderson of Charlotte, N.C. (three bass, 9-4, $898); Daniel Jordan of Hartsville, S.C. (five bass, 8-3, $508); Brian Ruppe of Irmo, S.C. (four bass, 8-3, $508); and Robert Derrick Jr. of Charlotte, N.C. (three bass, 8-1, $359).
Bobby Henderson of Charlotte, N.C., earned $230 as the co-angler Big Bass winner after catching a 6-pound, 8-ounce bass.
The final regular-season South Carolina Division tournament, a two-day Super Tournament, will be held on Lake Hartwell in Seneca, S.C., Oct. 3-4.
The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers in each of the BFL’s 28 divisions at the end of the season advance to a no-entry-fee Regional Championship where boaters fish for a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck and co-anglers fish for a new Ranger boat. Seven regional championships will each send six boaters and six co-anglers to the no-entry-fee Walmart BFL All-American presented by Chevy, which features a $1 million purse and a top award of $140,000 in the Boater Division and $70,000 in the Co-angler Division. Anglers who compete in all five regular-season events within a division but do not advance to a Regional Championship are eligible to compete in the Chevy Wild Card, which will also send six boaters and six co-anglers to the All-American for a total of 48 boaters and 48 co-anglers advancing through BFL competition.
The winning boater and winning co-angler at the All-American will advance to the no-entry-fee $2.5 million Forrest Wood Cup in Atlanta in 2010. This event, featuring a top award of $1 million, is the most lucrative tournament in all of competitive bass fishing. In all, the BFL offers weekend anglers the opportunity to qualify for three no-entry-fee championships with total cash awards exceeding $3.5 million. Plus, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers from each BFL division may move up to the Stren Series™ for 2010 while All-American champions have the option to advance directly to the Walmart FLW Tour®.

LAMBETH WINS WALMART BASS FISHING LEAGUE EVENT ON KERR LAKE
HENDERSON, N.C. (June 15, 2009) – George Lambeth of Thomasville, N.C., won the Walmart Bass Fishing League® Piedmont Division tournament on Kerr Lake Saturday with a five-bass catch weighing 15 pounds, 15 ounces. The victory earned Lambeth $4,359 and placed him one step closer to qualifying for the Potomac River Regional Championship in Marbury, Md., Oct, 8-10, where he could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.
Lambeth said he caught the majority of his bass fishing around bushes with a jig.
Rounding out the top five boaters are Carl Ward of Durham, N.C. (five bass, 14-15, $2,179); David Wright of Lexington, N.C. (five bass, 14-1, $1,452); Nathan Webber of Boone, N.C. (five bass, 12-13, $1,017) and Benjamin Reynolds of Callands, Va. (five bass, 12-4, $872).
Benjamin Reynolds took home the Boater Division Big Bass award, earning $625 for a 5-pound, 1-ounce bass he caught.
Gurney Hoffman of Richlands, N.C., earned $2,175 as the co-angler winner Saturday thanks to five bass weighing 11 pounds, 9 ounces.
Rounding out the top five co-anglers are Ken Daniel of Alberta, Va., and Pat Kendrick of Columbia, Va. (five bass, 9-3, $907); Kenneth Stein of Suffolk, Va. (five bass, 8-6, $507) and Orlando Giles of Lexington, N.C. (three bass, 8-3, $435).
Gurney Hoffman earned $307 as the co-angler Big Bass winner after catching a 4-pound, 3-ounce bass.

FITZPATRICK, NELSON TIE IN WALMART BASS FISHING LEAGUE EVENT ON TRUMAN LAKE
CLINTON, Mo. (June 15, 2009) – Roger Fitzpatrick of Eldon, Mo., and Scott Nelson of Lake Ozark, Mo., tie in the Walmart Bass Fishing League® Ozark Division tournament on Truman Lake Saturday with a five-bass catch weighing 18 pounds, 3 ounces. The victory earned Fitzpatrick and Nelson $3,095 each and placed them one step closer to qualifying for the DeGray Lake Regional Championship in Arkadelphia, Ark., Oct. 22-24, where he could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.
Fitzpatrick said he caught the majority of his bass on an Accent Scooter jig fishing shallow waters near the dam.
Rounding out the top five boaters are Jim Eakin of Plato, Mo. (five bass, 16-15, $1,377); Ron Barnes of Bentonville, Ark. (five bass, 16-0, $963) and Casey Scanlon of Lenexa, Kan. (five bass, 15-15, $825).
Jeffrey Rehmer of Gravois Mills, Mo., took home the Boater Division Big Bass award, earning $575 for a 5-pound, 3-ounce bass he caught.
Dan Ashby of Independence, Mo., earned $2,019 as the co-angler winner Saturday thanks to five bass weighing 13 pounds, 6 ounces that he caught on a shaky head jig.
Rounding out the top five co-anglers are Blase Frick of Saint Louis, Mo., and Dennis Spell of Desloge, Mo. (five bass, 13-2, $842); Walter Hammond of Lees Summit, Mo. (five bass, 12-10, $471) and Chris McQuarry of Springfield, Mo. (five bass, 12-1, $404).
Dustin Back of Galena, Mo., and Jeffrey Risinger of Bridgeton, Mo., tie as the co-angler Big Bass winners, each earning $136 after catching a 4-pound, 5-ounce bass.

WATERMAN WINS WALMART BASS FISHING LEAGUE EVENT ON POTOMAC RIVER
MARBURY, Md. (June 15, 2009) – Kevin Waterman of La Plata, Md., won the Walmart Bass Fishing League® Northeast Division tournament on the Potomac River Saturday with a five-bass catch weighing 25 pounds, 3 ounces. The victory earned Waterman $4,948 and placed him one step closer to qualifying for the Potomac River Regional Championship in Marbury, Md., Oct. 8-10, where he could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.
Waterman said he caught the majority of his bass fishing the northern end of the lake flipping a jig.
Rounding out the top five boaters are Bryan Schmitt of Deale, Md. (five bass, 21-5, $2,474); Adam Janerella of Jersey Shore, Pa. (five bass, 20-11, $1,649); William Kramer of Gaithersburg, Md. (five bass, 19-2, $1,155) and Stacey Smith of Stephens City, Va. (five bass, 18-9, $990).
Jason Berry of Nanjemoy, Md., took home the Boater Division Big Bass award, earning $755 for a 7-pound, 4-ounce bass he caught.
Mark Snyder of Elizabethtown, Pa., earned $2,474 as the co-angler winner Saturday thanks to five bass weighing 17 pounds, 14 ounces.
Rounding out the top five co-anglers are Mike Morris of Dover, Del. (five bass, 16-15, $1,237); Christian Latimer of Mitchellville, Md. (five bass, 16-0, $824); Terry Olmstead of Lock Haven, Pa. (five bass, 15-8, $577); and John Olander of Phoenixville, Pa. (five bass, 15-4, $474).

HAWKINS WINS WALMART BASS FISHING LEAGUE EVENT ON LAKE DARDANELLE
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (June 15, 2009) – Dylan Hawkins of Pottsville, Ark., won the Walmart Bass Fishing League® Arkie Division tournament on Lake Dardanelle Saturday with a five-bass catch weighing 15 pounds, 3 ounces. The victory earned Hawkins $4,235 and placed him one step closer to qualifying for the Kentucky Lake Regional Championship in Gilbertsville, Ky., Oct. 15-17, where he could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.
Hawkins said he caught the majority of his bass fishing the lower end of the lake on shallow lay-downs.
Rounding out the top five boaters are Spencer Grace of Russellville, Ark. (five bass, 13-15, $2,118); Donald Vining of Little Rock, Ark. (four bass, 13-9, $1,413); Matthew Mize of Ben Lomond, Ark. (five bass, 12-14, $988) and Steve Roberts of Fort Smith, Ark. (five bass, 12-13, $847).
Kris Lott of Dardanelle, Ark., took home the Boater Division Big Bass award, earning $590 for a 7-pound, 3-ounce bass he caught.
